ORGANIZE A LOCAL ACTION

Saturday, July 11, 2009 is the first Bake-in in solidarity with the White House vigil

If you are not able to join us outside the White House in Washington D.C. consider organizing a local action baking bread in in solar oven while asking the public to sign the petition at a high visability location in your community. Set up in a popular park, plaza or pedestrian area in you community. Down load the petition and flyer. Contact local community groups that are working on healthcare, transportation, alternative energy, Native American rights and organic gardening groups to join in your local vigil and petition drive. Use our sample resolution and ask your town or city council to endorse the vigil and petition. Let your local media know about this action. Call your congresspeople. Contact President Obama.
